When a cable comes off the drum on your garage door, the door will no longer operate because the cable hold all of the spring tension. The cables usually wrap around the drum as the door opens, and unwrap from the drum as the garage door closes. Once the cable comes off of the drum, all of the spring tension is forced on whatever object the cable gets stuck on. Never try to adjust a loose cable on your garage door. Never try to raise or lower the garage door or opener when a cable is loose or tangled. In order to properly get the cables back on and add tension to the springs to balance your door properly, a full service of the garage door is needed. The cable may look loose and you might think you can wrap it back on the drum, but the entire counterbalance system needs to be adjusted in order to get the loose cable back on without injuring yourself.
If the shaft above your garage door has a black spring with a gap, you likely have a broken garage door spring. Be sure not to try to operate the garage door manually or using the garage door opener if you have a broken spring. The springs are what distribute and store the weight of the door and the force required to balance the garage door as it opens and closes. Broken springs are extremely dangerous, but our certified service professionals can have them replaced the same day you schedule your appointment and are typically done in less than an hour. The most common garage door opener repairs occur when the opener is reversing, not responding, or working intermittently. In some csases the capacitor can blow and cause smoke to come from the unit on the ceiling, Many of the internal components are plastic, and when garage doors are imbalanced a lot of extra stress is placed on the garage door opener. Servicing your garage door and opener regularly can extend the life of your motor unit. Learn more about our garage door opener repairs here.

Garage doors are the largest moving object in most homes, and many times they certainly sound like it! Servicing your garage door and opener system can have a dramatic effect on the amount of friction and wear and tear on moving components. Garage doors have bearings, steel components that rub on other steel components, and plastic components that rub against other plastic components. Our technicians carry proper lubricants and can make adjustments to the tracks, rollers, bearings, hinges, springs, and garage door opener gears and components in order to get your system running quiet and smooth again.
Our certified, professionally trained, non-commissioned, background checked, drug tested, and fully insured company Certified Service Professionals service the leading suppliers of both garage doors and garage door openers at competitive prices. We give free estimates before we begin the work because every customer deserves an honest evaluation and the right to have a company prove their worth before being charged anything. We never sell a customer something they don’t need or want, and we are always 100% honest with our customers and the condition of their garage door and opener.
Our trucks carry everything that we need to get the job done. Every car is uniformly stocked and checked daily. If you decide to have the work done, we have the tools and materials to get it done quickly while we are at your home without wasting your time. If your repair turns into a replacement, we can often perform installations the same day we diagnose your problem!
