It’s a big investment when replacing a garage door and/or opener. There are a few things to consider for preparation so it is a smooth process for both you, the consumer, along with our technicians.
The timeframe on your preparation depends mainly on the “constructional” condition of the sheetrock, framing, paint, electrical outlets, etc. or the “cosmetic” condition – organization, de-clutter, cleanliness, accessibility, etc. You’re the only one who determine the amount of time needed for preparation. However, the more prepared you are, the quicker the turnaround of the installation. The average time for a garage door install in “good to great” cosmetic condition is three hours; two hours for openers.
Of course, you want to make sure all construction conditions are taken care of to ensure safe and proper installations.
Please remember there are multiple circumstances that always play a part in the condition of your garage and your installation. These are just some considerations and guidelines for you. Should you have any questions regarding proper preparationl, please give us a call; we would be more than happy to assist you!
